Entities engaged in data collection for interest-based advertising (IBA), also known as online behavioral advertising, across mobile applications are encouraged to participate in the DAA AppChoices tool, which enables mobile users to express an opt-out choice from data collection for IBA for one, some, or all companies integrated into the app.
The AppChoices app is available to consumers as a free download in the Apple AppStore, Google Play Store, and Amazon app store. It is also available to native Spanish speakers in the U.S. and Argentina as AppChoices en Español and a French version of the app is available to native French speakers in Canada. Other jurisdictions worldwide may potentially join the program.
What Will Happen Next
If your company is interested in participating in the cross-industry YourAdChoices program by being listed on the AppChoices tool, please complete the registration form below. After submitting this form, upon review and qualification, you will receive a Choice Tool(s) contract agreement within 10 business days along with integration guidance documents for AppChoices.
Once this agreement is signed and payment to DAA is received, you will be provided with technical guidance for integration and inclusion on the AppChoices app and any subsequent updates regarding the integration process.
The fee to participate in AppChoices is $10,000 and is renewable annually. A multi-screen bundle pricing option also is available in conjunction with WebChoices registration.
